Uber for Education Is Here... Sort Of

College students will soon be able to pay for rides from Uber with a service from Blackboard. The technology company on Tuesday announced a partnership with the ride-hailing service that will let students use Transact, Blackboard's cashless payment application, when requesting a ride. Colleges, parents and students using Transact will be able to create accounts to be used exclusively for Uber payments.
