The Higher Learning Commission placed MacMurray College on probation and extended the probation of Urbana University at the agency's June meeting, the accreditor announced. The president of MacMurray criticized the accreditor's action as "unjust," saying the agency failed to give the college sufficient time to fix problems created under a previous administration.
The commission also granted accreditation to the reborn Antioch College, in Ohio.
