Lost Job at Florida Over Giving Positive Reference

Jen Day Shaw has resigned as dean of students at the University of Florida amid criticism of a positive reference she provided for the former Title IX coordinator at the university, The Gainesville Sun reported. Chris Loschiavo, whom Shaw supervised, was forced out of his job after the university found that he purchased pornographic videos using his university email account. Shaw knew this but didn't share the information and instead gave a positive reference for him when he applied for a similar job he obtained at Florida Polytechnic University. Loschiavo was fired from that position when officials learned why he had really left Florida.
