Southern Illinois Carbondale Chancellor Dies

Carlo Montemagno, chancellor of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, died Thursday morning. Montemagno had been chancellor for a little more than a year. The Chicago Tribune noted that he revealed in June that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
