Liberty University has sold university-owned lists of student email addresses to the campaign of Corey Stewart, a Republican running for the U.S. Senate in Virginia, The News & Advance reported. The article noted that while many entities buy and sell email addresses, it is apparently unusual for a nonprofit college to sell such names to a political campaign. Liberty officials said that there was nothing wrong with the sale because it would do the same for other politicians, regardless of political views.
