Lil Pump (at right), the rapper, has a new album out called "Harverd Dropout." (That's sic on Harverd, not Harvard.) And he has claimed, without evidence that he ever attended, to have dropped out of Harvard University. On Monday, his label claimed (and some publications and many on social media ran with the story) that he would be Harvard's commencement speaker this year. The release quoted Pump as saying, "You don't gotta graduate from Harvard to do this speech. I dropped out, so they called me like they called the guy that made Windows and PCs and shit before I was born. You just need a cap and gown, which I got. When I found out, I was happy to give everyone a lesson. I'm all about the youth. Yes, they are the future. This is a preview of my speech, one word: ESSKEETIT!!!!!!"

Sorry to disappoint rap fans out there, but Harvard already announced its speaker for 2019, Angela Merkel (at left), the German chancellor. And while the German electorate may be fickle these days, Harvard is sticking with Merkel.
