Papa John's and Simmons College have resolved an earlier dispute they've labeled a miscommunication, reports the Courier Journal.

The pizza chain and the historically black college were at odds following the pulling of $20,000 worth of promised scholarships from 10 eligible students.

Papa John's will be increasing its donation to $30,000, which comes out to $2,000 each for 15 students.

The event was characterized as a "breakdown in communication," and the restaurant wishes the college "continued success," reported the Courier Journal.

Last year Papa John's founder, John Schnatter, resigned from his position following his use of racial slurs.
