The University of Central Florida suspended Kollbe Ahn, an assistant professor of chemistry, over online videos that he says are humorous. In a video posted since his suspension, Ahn says he was escorted off campus and his labs were shut down after the university became aware of an “anger translator” video that he “thought … was a satire situation and funny video, like Saturday Night Live, but UCF did not see it that way, so I have been suspended.”

In the video in question, Ahn explains in writing that he was angry with a student who falsely accused him of not teaching chemistry in his class. “Oh, hell no. You mother [expletive] must have forgot that snitches get stitches,” an unidentified person, the "anger translator," adds. The video has since been edited down, according to ClickOrlando.com. A university spokesperson told the website that Ahn is on paid administrative leave pending an investigation, as the chemistry department "initially received several verbal complaints about a video, and that led to the discovery of a channel that included multiple videos." Some students have started a petition in support of Ahn. An attorney for Ahn declined immediate comment on the ongoing case.
