UBC Graduation Social Media Campaign Backfires

The University of British Columbia this week invited students to celebrate graduation with the hashtag #UBCgrad, but amid pictures of cap-and-gown-clad students, one photo stood out. On a poster printed with the words "I Will Always Remember UBC For" followed by a blank space, someone had filled in "My Crippling Debt." According to posts on Twitter, the poster was found on a university sidewalk. By Thursday afternoon, a picture of the poster had been voted the most popular submission on the social network Reddit.
