Researchers at the University of Texas at Arlington will lead a $1.6 million effort to better understand how digital learning affects higher education. The Digital Learning Research Network, a partnership between UT-Arlington and nine other institutions, will examine topics such as competency-based learning, personalized education and massive open online courses. The work will be led by UT-Arlington's Learning Innovation and Networked Knowledge Lab, while the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will supply the funding.
