Commencement Speakers Announced: Alma, California Integral, Centre, Mansfield, National Louis, Pacific Oaks, Robert Morris, Rose-Hulman, Syracuse

The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers for spring 2014:

  • Alma College: Lou Glazer, president of Michigan Future Inc.
  • California Institute of Integral Studies: James Hormel, philanthropist and former ambassador.
  • Centre College: Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear.
  • Mansfield University: Francis Duffy, professor of public administration and coordinator of the master of public administration program at Gallaudet University.
  • National Louis University: Barbara Byrd-Bennett, CEO of Chicago Public Schools, and Daniel Greenstein, director of postsecondary success for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
  • Pacific Oaks College: Judge Dorothy Wright Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
  • Robert Morris University: Carol R. Brown, former president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Bobby Vagt, former president of the Heinz Endowments.
  • Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology: Gregg A. Lowe, CEO of Freescale Semiconductor.
  • Syracuse University: David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker.
