The Kentucky House of Representatives on Thursday approved a bill to make community college free, The Courier-Journal reported. Under the legislation, which now moves to the Senate, all graduates of Kentucky high schools or home schools or those who earn a GED would be able to attend institutions in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System for up to two years. The students would be required to take at least 12 credits a semester and to maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
