Catholic University has announced that Will Rainford, who was suspended as dean of the university's social work school amid criticism of a tweet in which he mocked one of the accusers of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, will teach this semester, The Washington Post reported. Some students and others have called for his dismissal, noting that he made the tweet on a university account and that the ethics of social work require sympathy for those reporting sexual assault.

A spokeswoman for the university said that Rainford would begin next week to teach a half-semester course. "By not removing him completely from the school, Rainford has the opportunity to begin rebuilding relationships with faculty and staff," the spokeswoman said.
