Four more colleges announced that they would experiment with test-optional admissions, although some of the colleges have limits on their programs.

  • Delaware Valley University announced it was going test optional for 21 of the university's 29 majors. (The excluded majors are in the sciences.)
  • Hardin-Simmons University, in Abilene, Tex., will allow applicants who are local to have counselors or principals recommend them instead of submitting SAT or ACT scores.
  • Hendrix College, in Arkansas, has announced that it is going test optional for all students except international and homeschooled students.
  • Mount St. Mary's University, in Maryland, is going test optional, except for international, homeschooled students or athletes.
