It is possible that boards are what make the presidency impossible?

Leaders can get taken down by things that happened long before they arrived on campus. And they can't always talk about what really happened.

"I don't know a single woman of color serving as a college or university president who has not received a credible threat of violence. Not one."

When not speaking out is the hardest thing for a person to do. And the right thing for a president.

And a reminder about the juice and joy of presidencies

The thing we really don't want to talk about: money (and the lack of it).

 A current leader asks, "Why can't we be real with each other?"

It's not us versus them, but sometimes it sure can feel that way.
