Fairfield University officials are condemning an off-campus "ghetto" party at which attendees wore brown makeup and mocked black people, The New York Times reported. The Reverend Jeffrey P. von Arx, president at Fairfield, issued a statement that the party "perpetuated racial stereotypes that have no place in our community." Many students said the racial problems on the campus extend beyond the party. And a freelance journalist posted to Twitter a Facebook post that made fun of the anger over the party.
