After Florida colleges last week announced a spate of closures in response to Hurricane Irma, the move is now being extended by colleges in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina as the Category 4 storm is set to make its way directly over the Sunshine State and head north. The shifting nature of the storm has also caused more closures in Florida, with St. Petersburg College, on the west coast of the state, announced on Sunday that it would be closing until further notice.
